Its 1999 and Mark and Maria Whitehead are running a busy cafe in the beautiful village of Hawkshead. They start making small batches of chutney, relish and preserves as a treat for customers, who enjoy them so much they ask if they can buy a jar to take home with them. And so Hawkshead Relish is born.

Fast forward to 2020 and Maria and Mark now produce more than 100 different relishes, chutneys, sauces and preserves, exporting them all over the world. Still based in Hawkshead their commitment to using only quality ingredients with no artificial preservatives or additives is however undiminished, as is their love for The Lake District.

With over 60 Great Taste Awards to its name Hawkshead Relish is an artisan producer success story if ever there was one!
