This rich fruity sauce has been adopted by the Cumberland (and now Cumbria) region as the perfect accompaniment for red meats, from Sunday roasts to venison. Its base is redcurrant jelly which Hawkshead Relish has enriched with damson wine, elderberries, orange zest, lemons, mustard seeds and cayenne pepper to create a big, fruity, flavourful jar of loveliness.
