Rinaldo's Artisan Coffee Roaster & Speciality Teas Merchant
Rinaldo was born in Cumbria to Italian parents and grew up overlooking the stunning Ennerdale Fells with his four brothers and 5 sisters. As he says, there was no danger of becoming spoilt, being from such a large family!
Some years later he tasted his first cup of speciality coffee. He was gobsmacked, and the rest as they say, is history. He bought a little van, and began serving his own mobile speciality coffee to the good people of the Lake District. Working as a barista, setting his standards high and having people tell him how amazing his coffee tasted was incredibly rewarding. He wanted to take things further and selling the very best teas seemed a natural progression.
In 2015 Rinaldo set up his artisan coffee roastery. and began a Crowdfunding campaign to finance the purchase of his first W15 Giesen Coffee Roaster. Roasting his own coffee from green beans Rinaldo had found his calling and soon he was sharing his passion and his knowledge via Barista courses run from his brand new premises on the Lakeland Food Park near Kendal.
Rinaldo remains as committed as ever to the highest-standards of production. He roasts only 100% Arabica beans and to assure the provenance of his product he sources all his green beans from individual farms or small holdings where farmers and workers have excellent conditions and are paid a good wage.
