Airey's Rare & Heritage Breed Meats

For almost 200 years the Aireys family from Ayside, nestled in the South Cumbrian Fells near the foot of Windermere, have been synonymous with the best meat the Lake District has to offer, both as farmers and butchers. Specialists in traditional heritage cattle breeds like Galloway, Highland, Longhorn, Belted Galloway and Aberdeen Angus (beef) and rare-breed Saddleback and Gloucestershire Old Spots for pork, Airey's are famous for their long association with the iconic Lakeland Herdwick Sheep, which under its PDO status must have been born, reared & slaughtered in Cumbria. The 5th generation Aireys family remain one of the vital links in this chain that maintains this Lake District legend's authenticity.
