Delivered with authority and enthusiasm by our local produce champions, this one hour food adventure allows you to immerse yourself in the rich food history of Cumbria, grazing authentic bite-sized tasters samples as you travel through time and around the region (including a couple of freshly prepared hot tasters).

Along the way you'll find out:
- how Syria has made an indelible mark on the past and present Cumbrian food scene
- how the Vikings are part of the origin story of Cumbria's official traditional dish
- that the German miners invented the Cumberland sausage (or did they?!)
-why you'll be reaching for the pepper pot the next time you have a fruit cake
- how an Lake District accident ended up on Everest

As this is a historically accurate and authentic experience, all major ALLERGEN groups are present at some stage in our sampling, except for shellfish. Alcohol is present in one of the samples but can be substituted for a zero alcohol alternative on request.
